  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
The October 2023 report, A fare future for rail: a blueprint for fares and ticketing reform, by Campaign for Better Transport, includes a recommendation that a ‘rail miles’ loyalty scheme should be explored. Will Transport for London (TfL) implement a loyalty scheme to encourage people to move their journeys to public transport from other modes?

Transport Innovations (1)

  • Reference: 2024/0575
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
The forthcoming roll-out of contactless ticketing beyond London has been achieved by the simplification of tickets on offer using single leg pricing, which in some cases increased costs for passengers. Will you ensure that any future innovation in ticketing includes the ability to offer more affordable fares?

Reports on red route parking since 2018 (2)

  • Reference: 2024/0574
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
Thank you for your answer to my question 2023/1896, in which you said that an updated report on Transport for London (TfL) red route parking spaces and revenue and PCNs issued and challenged, would be supplied by the end of 2023. There is still no updated report. Will you update this report before the pre-election period, and if not, could you provide the data in another form?

  • Reference: 2024/0573
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
Thank you for your answer to my question 2023/3971 in which you said: “My officers at the GLA have been in touch with the Home Office to request for this information, as it is not currently publicly available. I will ensure this is shared with you once received.” As it is now four months and I have not yet received this information, I assume you have not received it from the Home Office. Could you follow-up this up and request this data again?

  • Reference: 2024/0572
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
Given the temporary suspension of the Bridgewater Development due to design concerns and compliance with fire safety regulations, could you write to the Manor Gardening Society with more information about any forthcoming design revisions which may affect its members, and reassure them that any changes will not further compromise their access to natural light?

Urban Greening Factor and mature trees (3)

  • Reference: 2024/0571
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
Thank you for your answer to my question 2023/3969. With regard to the promised: “note covering the implementation of green infrastructure policies,” could you confirm whether: a) the Urban Greening Factor (UGF) data will relate to CAVAT or canopy cover data, b) this data will disclose and/or highlight discrepancies between positive UGF data where it conflicts with net loss of ‘public welfare’ value or CAVAT valuations, and c) where the note, which in the same answer you said you aimed: “to publish on the GLA website by the end of this financial year,” has been published and, if so, where?

Housing for women leaving the criminal justice system (6)

  • Reference: 2024/0570

  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
Campaigners continue to raise with me the lack of progress on the actions contained in the motion, passed unanimously by the London Assembly on 3 March 2022, Safe Homes for Women Leaving Prison. Could you confirm what work has been carried out to fulfil the actions in the motion by: a) the relevant departments within the GLA, b) your Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development, and c) your Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime?

Thank you for your answer to my question 2024/0413, in which you said: “The procurement of a Master Developer has been structured to allow for a variety of delivery organisations to participate in the site’s development.” Could you share the procurement brief and other relevant documents with me?

Business rates for unoccupied properties (2)

  • Reference: 2024/0568
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 22 February 2024
Thank you for your answer to my question 2023/3585, in which you said: “The closing date for responses is not until 28 September, however the GLA is engaging with revenues and business rates leads in London boroughs – who as rating authorities are experts in this area – to develop a response to the various questions asked.” This answer makes no sense given that it was provided on 29 January 2024. Could you therefore supply a copy of your response to the consultation, in response to this question, which I presume was submitted before the deadline of 28 September 2023?
