On 25 January 2024 the London Assembly unanimously passed my budget related motion, calling on you to prioritise addressing the gaps in training workers in the skills needed for the retrofitting industry and to explore all potential sources of income that can be put towards retrofit programmes, including calling on the Government to provide consistent, multi-year funding without restrictive conditions. Residents living near New River Path in Islington and Hackney have raised concerns about the alarming amount of litter along the route. The two councils, along with Thames Water, have reportedly failed to take responsibility for the issue, leaving it to volunteer litter pickers to keep the path clean.
