A resident who wrote to me stated that in early February 2023, they submitted the necessary forms along with the required fees. They then told me ‘I received my new licence on May 15th 2023 – almost 7 weeks after my previous licence had expired. This meant that I was unable to earn to private for my family and pay my bills during that time. A constituent wrote to me describing that the Hurlingham Yacht Club has received notice from TfL that their rent will be increased by twofold over a three-year period from £16,000 a year before VAT to £35,000. The HYC are confident that this would put them out of business within a few years. Can TfL commit to engaging collaboratively with local businesses to find financial resolutions which they can reasonably afford?
