The employment tribunal into the case of Metropolitan Police officer Carol Howard stated "The respondent had received a lot of negative publicity and had been heavily criticised in the media as a result of the tribunal's judgement in favour of the claimant. We have no doubt that the second statement was issued to deflect attention and criticism from the respondent and to portray the claimant in a negative light." Thank you for your answer to my question 2014/2742. The answer states that the practice of Fairness at Work advisors being told to "Take great care not to make any assessment regarding discrimination - this is not an advisor's role" "has been in place for some time". Please could you confirm when this policy was first implemented?

Could you confirm that the College of Policing's Code of Ethics, which states officers should "not engage in sexual conduct or other inappropriate behaviour when on duty", applies to undercover police officers? Protection to ensure the safety of the families of individuals' whose identities were used by undercover officers

The Metropolitan Police has stated that their 'policy' of 'Neither Confirming Nor Denying' the identity of undercover police officers is important to protect officers safety and is a lifetime guarantee. Please could you let me know what steps were taken by the Metropolitan Police Service to protect the families of the children whose identities were used by undercover police officers during their deployment from the potential harm of being tracked down by people the officer associated with while undercover?
