Ticket touting

The Viagogo website recently published details of its most prolific sellers showing the scale of exploitation for access to live music and sports events. This is unfair to Londoners who often struggle to get tickets and then face extortionate prices to see an event. How can you work with events in London to reduce this exploitative practice?

Cross Rail

  • Reference: 2019/4003
  • Question by: Navin Shah
  • Meeting date: 25 February 2019
At the two Transport Committee meetings I quizzed guests about the cost and completion of Crossrail and got fairly clear responses that the project will be completed within the new budget. It’s shocking now to hear the media report that Mark Wild does not believe that the project can be delivered in 2019 and he does not know ‘when it will be delivered after that’. It is also worrying that KPMG suggests risk of more than £2.45billion of extra funding required to finish the job! What is your understanding on both – the time of completion and the final cost?
