In 2017 the Greater London Authority group adopted the Responsible Procurement Policy (RPP). This committed each organisation to make services fit local communities, improve employment practices, increase participation from SMEs and under-represented groups, innovate, and be environmentally sustainable. The Budget for each organisation states support for implementing the RPP. GLA collaborative procurement board minutes show that the RPP should be implemented by October 2018. What results have you seen from this so far?

  • Question by: Joanne McCartney
  • Meeting date: 25 February 2019
With the delay to the Class 710 trains, Transport for London are proposing to use three 4 car electric Class 378 trains on the Gospel Oak-Barking Line as these are longer and cleaner. However, I remain concerned that once the last diesel train has gone, there will only be these trains to run a half-hourly service. Do you believe this is acceptable?
