It has come to my attention that Transport for London (TfL) may have misled the public in its communication about its plans to put a cycle lane through the middle of Holland Park Roundabout: It appeared to overrepresent the accident rate to help justify its plan (citing 54 accidents when the vast majority of these did not involve cyclists and there was only one cycle accident on the roundabout, which was slight). The Holland Park Roundabout scheme requires cyclists to cross the line of traffic on the roundabout. Are there any similar schemes in operation at a major roundabout in London? If so, please will you provide me with details?
