A constituent has raised the issue with me that their shared ownership home sale has fallen through three times because the lenders are requesting EWS1 forms, despite the fact the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors advice is that their flat does not need one (the flat in question is in a building less than four storeys tall AND remedial work on the cladding already having been carried out). What action are you taking to ensure that lenders are not requesting unnecessary EWS1 forms?
