In answer to question 2021/3572 you stated ‘This scheme is currently in the detailed design stage, with the consultation report due to be published late this year. Works are provisionally programmed to take place in 2022, subject to funding being available.’ Following the repeated delays to much needed pedestrian improvements, please provide an update as to when improvements will finally take place.

What assurances can you provide as to the number and frequency of bus services operating through the Silvertown Tunnel during (a) peak periods, and (b) other times of the day, following the end of the monitoring period as referenced in your answer to Question 2022/0261?

In answer to question 2022/0261 you stated “Through the Development Consent Order (DCO), TfL has committed to a minimum of 20 buses per hour during peak periods in each direction through the tunnels for the duration of the monitoring period, initially planned for three years. TfL anticipates that these buses would be zero-emission.” Please clarify (a) the times of peak periods, (b) whether or not the buses will be zero-emission, and (c) an assurance that any monitoring period will be at least three years.
