The London Tenants Federation recently published principles and guidance for social landlords around undertaking net-zero works to their homes. This includes making sure no costs are passed on to any social tenants whose homes require retrofitting, fire safety works or day-to-day repairs related to net zero. The Mayor has stated his new Green Bond programme will be focussed on retrofitting London buildings in order to move towards net zero. Will this funding be available for social landlords to apply for, as a way to ensure costs are not passed on to innocent social tenants?
