Acoustic Cameras (1)

  • Reference: 2022/3192
  • Question by: Elly Baker
  • Meeting date: 15 September 2022
In your answer to MQ 2020/2480 TfL indicated that it was not interested in pursuing trials of acoustic cameras on TfL roads, citing a reduction in motor traffic as the solution for this. Given that the majority of complaints are about excessively noisy supercars or modified cars in residential areas, there is little likelihood that this will solve the issue for local residents. Can TfL explain the reason for not engaging with this new technology and trialling in such hotspots as Grosvenor Road in Pimlico and the A10 in Enfield, Bush Hill Park?
