Air Quality

  • Reference: 2023/1281
  • Question by: Emma Best
  • Meeting date: 23 March 2023
Thank you for your response to my question 2022/0852. The Collins Dictionary definition of air quality is “the composition of the air in terms of how much pollution it contains”. You announced in July 2022 that ULEZ had improved air quality by 20%, when this figure was actually based on the NO2 reduction and not the composition of the air including PM2.5, PM10, NMVOCs, NH3, SO2, and other pollutants. Will you retract your misleading statement?

Floating bus stops

  • Reference: 2023/1280
  • Question by: Emma Best
  • Meeting date: 23 March 2023
We recently hosted the Disability Policy Centre at City Hall to discuss what barriers disabled Londoners face in our city on a daily basis. One of the key concerns expressed by representatives from the National Federation of the Blind was the proliferation of ‘floating bus stops’ in London. Will you commit to working with London Boroughs to remove these types of bus stops to make London safer for blind transport users and cyclists?
