Did you get this information out of your correspondence with the Department of Constitutional Affairs, and will you let us know how this discussion is going to progress?

Increasing Fares (Supplementary) [2]

  • Question by: Murad Qureshi
  • Meeting date: 18 November 2006
I was just thinking, would it be possible for TfL to commit themselves to giving information about fare increases on the Oyster card through things like mobile phones, which more people are more likely to register with, rather than public information, where a lot of people may just miss it all?

Can I just go back to the figures. In terms of the £10 million gap which London councils are saying they cannot fund? Have you explored whether or not you could find it in TfL's budget, because this is really the thrust of my question? What does that break down to? I do not have to rehearse this with you given the commendable work that you have done, but when we look at the figures, the level of poverty amongst our elders is totally unacceptable for this day and age.

No, about them moving around in London.

Freedom Pass Restrictions (Supplementary) [2]

No, let me just be clear. I do not want you, or any listeners, to think it is just a matter of access to hospitals. I am saying that this is a matter of access, and it is about quality of life.
