Can I ask you one other question. Your figures for fatalities go back to 1994, you said, and you have also made the point in introducing those figures about the various campaigns that may be taken on by your political opponents. Boris Johnson is well known for wanting to reintroduce a form of the Routemaster and he does not like bendy buses, like so many of us. You have just mentioned Harrow. Can you assure me that the funding will be targeted towards areas of deprivation and towards areas where, for whatever reason, the local government have cut the funding to youth provision?

I am interested on where the emphasis will be on the Winter of Sport, given that traditionally our two winter sports have been football and rugby. For example, the basis on which I selected my secondary school was that Quinton Kynaston School played football and Marylebone Grammar played rugby! To what extent do you have the clubs and their federations involved in this? I know the Football Association and the Rugby Union are quite keen. The one key barrier in all this, potentially, is the relative shortage of volunteers to undertake that sort of work. What encouragement is going to be given through this funding to encourage those people to come forward?

I have a couple of technical questions really. The LDA mentioned when they were here last week that they were going to fund over three years. Are they just going to take the original £20 million and use it for three years rather than two years, or is there a bit more money in the pipeline?

This is an area where there is absolutely no dispute between the Assembly and yourself. Will you ask your officers to make sure that each Assembly Member is copied in to the work that is going on? I am finding it difficult to get this information and if I am finding it difficult I do not know what others are finding. It should not be the case. We are out there advocating this and we are meeting people who want this service. Will you instruct your officers to circulate the information as soon as possible?

I welcome the proposals on this particular issue for youth funding. The frustration I feel, and I am sure most of us would feel, is to see school and college buildings and playing fields empty outside of the hours in which those schools or colleges operate. One of the issues that does arise is the sheer cost of using those premises for the voluntary sector or the restrictive practices that are in place through either insurance means or other. How are you going to combat that when we have these buildings already in place?

You have made that point and I recognise it. What I am saying is why did you single out the double-decker bus as being a particularly dangerous vehicle in the event of a fire? The logic would then follow that you are suggesting they are more dangerous than other vehicles. If so, why are you hanging on to any of them? I just wonder why you singled out the double-decker.
