Mayor summonsed to speak on Met Estates Strategy
The Mayor of London is tomorrow to appear before the London Assembly Police and Crime Committee.
The Committee used its statutory powers to issue a summons notice requiring the Mayor, in his capacity as occupant of the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), to attend a meeting to answer questions related to why the Committee has been excluded from receiving a copy of the Met’s draft Estates Strategy or been provided with an opportunity to comment on its content as part of the Committee’s oversight and scrutiny role.
The guests are:
- Sir Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London and Occupant of MOPAC
- Kaya Comer-Schwartz, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime
The meeting will take place on Thursday 18 December 2025 from 1pm or the rise of Mayor’s Question Time, whichever is latest in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.
Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
