London Fire Brigade response to antisemitic arson attacks

Earlier this year, the Jewish community in London became the target of a wave of antisemitic attacks directed at synagogues, community charities, and schools. One of the most prominent incidents was the Hatzola ambulance arson. The attacks prompted a major counter-terrorism investigation, which led to dozens of arrests and increased security across northwest London.

Tomorrow, the London Assembly Fire Committee will question various guests on the response to the attacks.

Guests include:

Panel 1:  10-11am

  • Mark Gardner MBE, Chief Executive, Community Security Trust
  • Yanky David, Hatzola Northwest

Panel 2: 11.10am-12.50pm

  • Jonathan Smith KFSM, London Fire Commissioner
  • Mat Walker, Deputy Commissioner and Operational Director for Preparedness and Response, LFB
  • Patrick Goulbourne KFSM, Assistant Commissioner for Operational Resilience and Control, LFB

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 15 September from 10am, in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
