Summary of request

Does the GLA monitor the number of large PRS schemes London-wide? If it does can estimates or figures be provided for a recent year, (eg, 2015, or 2015/16), or longer period if easier/more informative, for the following questions:

1. Number of planning applications for large PRS developments (over 10 units), (usually covenanted not to be sold for several years).

2. Number of units delivered and/or approved, London wide.

3. What number/% made affordable housing contributions?

4. Is there an estimate of total contributions, in cash terms, or number of affordable units funded – for all schemes combined London wide?

5. Can an overview be provided for % affordable housing to be delivered on site, or payments for off-site provision, as a London wide average range?

6. What number/% included Financial Viability Appraisals (FVA)?

7. For what number/% did councils commission an external FV review?

8. How many large PRS S106 planning agreements included a viability review mechanism to reassess the future feasibility of affordable housing contributions? If any, brief details would help, including numbers/% where reviews applied:

a) Only if building does not start by a deadline, to incentivise faster delivery.

b) Regardless of construction start, to maximise affordable housing
