Our response
-
The Greater London Authority (GLA) procured consultants I.G. Advisors to produce a Governance Feasibility Report for the independent London Nightlife Commission at a cost of £24,750. A copy of the procurement proposal from IG Advisors is attached.
There is currently no signed funding agreement in place for the remaining £275,250. The agreement is still being developed and is expected to be finalised by January 2027. You may wish to submit a further request once the agreement has been completed. However, please note that, as with all funding agreements and contracts, some financial information may be exempt from disclosure where its release could prejudice future tendering, procurement, or commercial negotiations, thereby undermining the Commission's negotiating position.

The London Nightlife Commission is an independent body set up by the industry and its directors are not appointed by the GLA. The independent London Nightlife Taskforce report recommended that for continuity and knowledge, the interim board be made up of five members from the independent London Nightlife Taskforce and the remaining directors be recruited openly by the independent London Nightlife Commission. Decisions on which members took up those initial interim roles were made by those interim board members. The independent London Nightlife Commission will now explore recruitment for its remaining members. The GLA will not be involved in the appointment process.
All members of the time-limited independent London Nightlife Taskforce were originally appointed the by Mayor of London. The Taskforce has now delivered its report and ceased to exist.
