Our response
Our records show a total of 293 Whole Life-Cycle Carbon (WLC) assessments have been submitted as part of applications referred to the Mayor of London since 2020. Of these, 13 were for applications in the London Borough of Brent.
The attached table gives the site names, descriptions and Mayor of London planning application reference numbers for the schemes submitted within Brent. Each application’s WLC assessment should be available as one of the supporting planning application documents by searching the relevant local authority planning application system.
To improve the availability and accessibility of WLC data, the GLA encourages all applicants to share their assessments on the public industry-developed Built Environment Carbon Database or give permission for GLA officers to add their data.
The database is currently in development but is intended to become the primary source of carbon estimating and benchmarking data for the UK.
