11 May 2025 To present to the international conference of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners on culture and planning and what London has achieved - with focus on 1) How culture contributes to delivering new places and the 2) Olympic Legacy in London (East Bank). Goal to promote London and the Mayor on the international stage, and learn from hearing about and meeting those involved in major new developments (including whole new places) in Hong Kong/China. Shonagh meet with Hong Kong city government officials, who are also members of the World City Culture Forum, to look at opportunities for collaboration. The hosts will pay for flight in full and 3 nights accommodation to cover conference participation. It is funded via a Government grant. 2nd May 2025 – 11th May 2025  Accommodation: The Langham, Hong Kong, £550, 7th – 10th May (3 nights) booked and covered by HKIP.  Vicky Ridley-Pearson will also benefit from the hotel hospitality via Shonagh Manson but will be travelling privately on annual leave (and so not covered by any GLA duty of care while using the accommodation).  Return flights: London to Hong Kong £670.92 booked and covered by HKIP.  Lunch/Dinners £138  Train cost £17.50   Conference certificate: £14.50  Hong Kong Institute of Planners £1,390.92 Stakeholder engagement/representative of the GLA
