London & Partners is the Mayor’s official promotional company for London. It claims to have added £340 million to London’s economy in 2016/17 by attracting businesses, tourists, international students and events.
The London Assembly Economy Committee will press London & Partners tomorrow on how it arrived at this figure and will question the company on its impact, value for money and openness.
Questions will include:
- What is stopping L&P from being more transparent?
- How will L&P use the extra £1.8 million secured from the Mayor this year?
- How does L&P assess if a business investment decision is down to its work?
The following guests will attend:
- Laura Citron, Chief Executive, London & Partners
- Andrew Cooke, Managing Director, Operations and Governance, London & Partners
The meeting will take place on Tuesday 30 October at 10:00am in The Chamber, at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or via our YouTube channel.
