In response to a letter published by the Department for Transport confirming that the devolution of the Great Northern train services from Moorgate has advanced to the next stage, local London Assembly Member, Joanne McCartney AM, said:

“I have been campaigning for Great Northern services from Moorgate to be devolved to Transport for London for a number of years, and so I am delighted that plans will now be able to proceed to next stage following a review of the business case.

“My hope is that the line will be devolved to TfL as soon as 2022. With London Overground’s track record, this will mean better and more reliable services for commuters and passengers across Enfield and Haringey.”
