In response to the Mayor’s announcement that Pembury House Nursery School in Haringey will receive an air quality audit to monitor indoor and outdoor levels of air pollution, local London Assembly Member Joanne McCartney AM, said:
“We know that poor air quality has a detrimental effect on children’s health and so I welcome the Mayor’s latest initiative to protect our youngest children.
“These audits will help in identifying the ways that we can tackle poor air quality inside and outside of the classroom and ensure that the health of some of the most vulnerable children, and the next generation of Londoners, is protected”.
