As COVID-19 vaccines are quickly being rolled out across the capital, how London recovers from the pandemic is on everyone’s minds.
The Mayor announced £10 million as part of his Green New Deal in November 2020. [1] The funding is said to be invested in green projects that will support 1,000 green jobs while tackling air pollution and climate change.
Tomorrow, the Environment Committee will discuss the current status of the 1,000 green job plan along with what London’s green recovery from COVID-19 should look like. The Committee will also discuss the progress made on the Mayor’s Environment Strategy as we near the end of his Mayoral term.
