The Elizabeth Line is set to open in the first half of 2022. No specific date has been set out within TfL’s Budget.
TfL’s draft budget includes regulatory income for the Elizabeth Line of £269 million in 2022-23, £404.3 million in 2023-24 and £416.5 million in 2024-25.
Is TfL therefore anticipating that the central section of the line will open towards the end of the first half of 2022, so at the end of June?
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will tomorrow discuss TfL’s Budget submission for 2022-23 and topics will include funding and financial assumptions, operating costs, capital programmes, financial sustainability and risk.
The guests are:
- Andy Byford, TfL Commissioner
- Simon Kilonback, Chief Financial Officer, TfL
- Patrick Doig, Group Finance Director, TfL
- Enver Enver, Assistant Director of Group Finance and Performance, GLA
The meeting will take place on Friday 14 January 2022, 10.00am in G02/G03/G04, London Fire Brigade Headquarters (169 Union Street SE1 0LL).
