Created on
30 January 2019

The London Fire Brigade says it is delivering against a range of performances targets. But there are concerns as fire fatalities rise across the capital.

Sickness levels have also continued to rise above target levels. Stress, anxiety and depression are now the main causes, with the lasting impact of the Grenfell Tower fire and its aftermath continuing to take its toll.

The London Assembly Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee will tomorrow examine the performance of the London Fire Brigade.

The following guests will attend:

  • Dr Fiona Twycross AM, Deputy Mayor for Fire and Resilience
  • Dany Cotton QFSM, London Fire Commissioner

The meeting will take place on Thursday 31 January at 2.00pm in the Chamber, City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or on our YouTube channel.
