
The Old and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and Car Giant are at an impasse over the OPDC’s planned redevelopment of its current site.
Yesterday, the Examination in Public Inspector released his interim findings on the viability of the Car Giant site proposal. The inspector concluded that the Car Giant land should be removed from the plan and the number of homes and jobs likely to be delivered adjusted downwards. This would reduce the targets from 25,500 homes and 65,000 jobs to 20,100 homes and 40,400 jobs.
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will visit the Car Giant site in White City tomorrow to hear its concerns and better understand the nature of the problems. Media are invited to attend by prior arrangement.
