The War in Ukraine (Supplementary) [2]

  • Question by: Andrew Boff
  • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
Andrew Boff AM (Chair): If we could stay on the clock. I raised this issue back with you in September [2023] and I would be grateful if you could write to me as soon as possible to indicate the communications that your office has had with the DfT to sort out this issue. As far as I know, we could have been told this many months ago about the approved scrappage dealers, but that was not the case. I would like to know a timeline of the communications from your office with regard to that.

The War in Ukraine (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Susan Hall
  • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
Susan Hall AM: Thank you very much and we do all agree around this table, I am sure, that we will stand with them, come what may. I know that Vitali Kateschko, Mayor of Kyiv, actually asked if they could have, on behalf of the Cars For Ukraine charity, vehicles from the scrappage scheme. I believe it came from your office. They said it was, quote, “not of benefit to Londoners”. I cannot see how not helping Ukraine in any way can be anything but of benefit to Londoners because Russia may not be allowed to carry on with this...

Autumn Statement 2023 (Supplementary) [2]

  • Question by: Peter Fortune
  • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
Peter Fortune AM: Thank you, Chair. Just very quickly on this, I was not going to mention the ULEZ today but here we are again. I spoke with Seb [Dance, Deputy Mayor for Transport] about this the other day. Can you commit to getting us the air quality report from the expanded ULEZ before we hit the pre-election period? I spoke to you about this last time and you said you would look into it. Then I got a letter from Seb saying he was not going to do it. But that data is there and so can we have...

Autumn Statement 2023 (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Susan Hall
  • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
Susan Hall AM: What about the £12.50 that is a consequence of your policy that nobody wanted that you are imposing on the poorest Londoners, the very poorest Londoners, £12.50? That is a tax that they should not be paying that they are paying every single day. We ought to bear that in mind when we are talking about Londoners being taxed, Mr Mayor.

TfL Business Plan (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Susan Hall
  • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
Susan Hall AM: Thank you. Mayor Khan, when are you planning to refurbish the Rotherhithe Tunnel?

Tree Removal (1) (Supplementary) [1]

  • Question by: Leonie Cooper
  • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
Léonie Cooper AM: I am sorry, Chair. No, I am fine. Assembly Member Devenish has probably covered it. Maybe, actually, Mr Mayor, talking about removing trees, when we are looking at difficult situations like dangerous junctions, would you agree with me that it is always essential for TfL to make sure that it does approach these difficult decisions, looking at it in the round? It is considering SuDS, for example, in relation to its roads, the climate emergency, the urban heat island effect, and it takes that into consideration and then do replanting if it is thinking of taking things...
