East London Line closure

  • Reference: 2008/0401
  • Question by: Geoff Pope
  • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
The fury of Rotherhithe residents over TfL's complacent attitude to their problems in getting to work in the City following the closure of the East London Line will not be lessened by your reply to my Question 126 / 2008. Those taking an additional 45 minutes to get to work as against their normal 45-minute journey need TfL to take immediate action to allow those in huge 381 bus queues to board empty ELL replacement buses. When will you order this?

Disabled Access at Shepherd's Bush Tube Station

  • Reference: 2008/0390
  • Question by: Geoff Pope
  • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
Why is Transport for London not making lift access an essential part of its current redevelopment of Shepherd's Bush tube station? What facilities will be provided for people with disabilities and impairments at the refurbished Shepherds Bush Station. Why can't work be phased so that at least part of the station can reopen sooner than the 9 months closure currently planned?
