One of the issues that in fact Assembly Member Garratt was talking about earlier, which was the problems with the trams, also affects my constituency. I know there has been talk about a tram extension in southwest London and I wondered if that might now be something that might be more likely to be positively discussed. In the list of priorities or projects he provided in the answer to Assembly Member Hall, he mentioned the DLR extension to Thamesmead. He may be aware that Bexley Council, which is very supportive of this, would like that extension to run all the way to Belvedere, linking with the existing rail network. Would the Mayor or his Deputy [Mayor] for Transport be happy to meet with me and Bexley Council to discuss the feasibility of this?

Joanne McCartney AM: Yes, thank you, Mr Mayor. As the Member for Enfield, can I thank you for your answer and I have responded to a recent consultation along those lines too. But I think we need to also acknowledge that the reason why a lot of councils are pushing the boundaries on this is because we are in a housing crisis and Enfield, for example, has one of the worst housing crises in London. We have one of the highest numbers of no-fault evictions and nearly 2,000 have presented themselves to the Council since 2019, when this Government promised...
