In response to MQ2792/2012 and MQ3299/2012, you state that passengers using route 343 can interchange with other bus and rail services at Elephant & Castle. A constituent has asked to ask you that if, according to London Underground, Elephant & Castle station is struggling to cope with the number of passengers is it wise that the bus network forces passengers to interchange onto services including the Underground at Elephant & Castle?

In response to previous questions (MQ2792/2012 and MQ3299/2012), you stated that the capacity of route 343 will be sufficient as long as the service is reliable then confirmed that route 343 consistently meets the reliability targets set by TfL. A regular user of the 343 bus has therefore asked me to ask you the following questions: a) Could the Mayor therefore explain why, as route 343 is performing reliably, passengers report buses on route 343 are severely overcrowded during the morning peak on a daily basis? b) Could the Mayor also explain why passengers are left behind by route 343...

In answer to Question No: 2850/2012, you informed the Assembly that 'around 74 ... of London's ... signalised locations with pedestrian facilities do not meet the most recent DfT guidelines for the minimum amount of time for pedestrians to complete their crossing after the green man signal has gone out'. Are any of these 74 pedestrian facilities located in Lambeth or Southwark and, if so, where?
