The London Cab Drivers Club (LCDC) has been contacted by an unprecedented number of taxi drivers and their partners suffering from depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts, which many drivers blame on TfL licensing over 118,000 Private Hire drivers, creating unfair competition, financial hardship and stress on drivers and their families. Many drivers believe that LTPH Management show no understanding or compassion for those suffering mental illness and have expressed a reluctance to seek treatment, in fear that they will have their licence suspended or revoked.
