The Walking and Cycling Commissioner Will Norman tweeted on 14th July: ‘For journeys under 30 minutes, the walking journey is just a few minutes longer, or about the same time, as a journey on a train or taxi. It takes just 20 minutes to walk from Euston to the British Museum, compared to 17 minutes via the tube and 18 minutes in a cab.’ 1 The journey time between these two points using a taxi is just 6 minutes however.
