Raid at Westminster Quaker Meeting House

  • Reference: 2025/1505
  • Question by: Gareth Roberts
  • Meeting date: 22 May 2025
A raid at the Westminster Quaker Meeting House on 27 March 2025 left many Quaker members in shock. During the forceful entry into the building, the door was damaged. I understand that a Quaker Elder was present in the building at the time and could have opened the door, which would have avoided damage to the building. Do you consider the raid on a Quaker building, a pacifist organisation, necessary to what was achieved? Will you offer to pay for the damages to the premises of the Westminster Quaker Meeting House?

But after a data validation exercise, the amended figure was actually only 10,664 police officers in neighbourhood roles in England and Wales. When the Met Police performed this data validation exercise as per the request from the Government, what was the result and what does this mean for the number of neighbourhood police officers across London?
