Costs are higher in London and this is a challenge that Government itself faces in directly funding the capital. Be it capital city function funding for the police, the, in my view, vindictive cuts to TfL funding or the recent cuts to university funding, do you believe London is being targeted by the Government for cuts? Is this levelling down London, instead of levelling up the rest of the country, as they promised?

When planning permission was granted for the improvement of West Hampstead Overground station, the community in NW6 was looking forward to the greater space this would afford pedestrians on the extremely busy and constrained West End Lane bridge. TfL have since said that demolition of the former ticket office would be too costly, but the benefit for this busy interchange and important neighbourhood would be immense.
