The LFB budget submission says they will “draw of £4.0m from the Budget Flexibility Reserve to deal with the impact of exceptional inflationary pressures in 2023/24”. Do you see this as a one off for 2023/24, or do you expect to have to deal with exceptional inflationary pressures in 2024/25?

The LFB Reserves Strategy says, “a minimum general reserve level of 3.5% (£16.8m) can currently be deemed to be adequate”, but the LFB are planning to hold £16.2m in general reserves in 2022/23 and for future years. Why is the plan for £16.2m and not £16.8m?

In 2017/18 the LFB reviewed their capital spending and it “led to a revised approach to ensure that forecasts are realistic, both in terms costs of projects in the capital programme and the phasing of the spend on those projects across the financial years”. Please publish a copy of this review, along with any subsequent reviews that have taken place since then.
