A24/CS7 Road Changes (3)

  • Reference: 2023/3001
  • Question by: Leonie Cooper
  • Meeting date: 20 July 2023
Given the motorised vehicle banned left turn into Ritherdon Road, vehicles currently continue on the High Road and turn left at the next opportunity, which is into Streathbourne Road. This left turn is into a much smaller road and is just where the High Road changes from two lanes to one. Cyclists also have no forward line in front of cars, so this junction seems less safe than the left turn into Ritherdon Road. Local residents want to know if this junction has been fully assessed in terms of safety?
