I hope that the Adshel pilot scheme will work well; I would love to see it happen in south London as well. I also welcome your desire to see the moneys spent on cycling efficiently, and it is quite right to condemn the gesture of green tarmacadam on roads, which does not mean anything to cyclists. The fact is that it is £30 million on this mix of things, which seems a bit cheap to me; then the extra £22 million is for programmes for walking, cycling and town centres. We would all like to see Wembley go ahead, but I am sure that, like me, you were horrified by the Select Committee report which has condemned the actions of various people, particularly Chris Smith. I am a little concerned: should we, as the GLA, really be bailing out the FA, who we know is one of the richest sporting organisations in the country?
