I am very pleased that there is a growing cross party consensus that this is an important issue of trying to police the impact of the free travel on allowing gangs a greater facility to move around London on public transport. You appear to have shifted that debate away from the point I was making on the buses, which are your responsibility, quite neatly there. Just to shift back to the buses, people who travel on them now expect that the cameras are watching over them. That is what your advertising campaign said. I receive a surprising number of complaints from people who have a crime committed against them and then find that the CCTV pictures are ineffective either because the system was not working, or because the lighting was not working. I have to say that that minimalist answer - I appreciate it is the train operators who are refusing information - but I think it demonstrates that there is not any degree of coordination between the Mayor's Office and the Labour Assembly Group on answers, because had I had a chance to write your reply, Mayor.

The ATOC (Association of Train Operating Companies) statement at the end of January was welcomed, but in fact it was only a support in principle for delivering the pay as you go Oyster system which Londoners get so annoyed about. One of the biggest issues for Londoners is that they cannot use their Oyster card on the overground services. Can you tell me when this is now going to be implemented, in view of the delay?
