If I could move on; would you agree with me - because I suspect you would although you might not want to own up to it - that a big change this weekend happened when you finally extricated yourself from the clutches of central office, given the chaos that they have presided over in your earlier number of appointments? My prediction is that you will lose another couple of advisers by the end of the year. Two have gone already. I think maybe four or five will have gone by Christmas. Mr Mayor, did you get the impression, talking to the Secretary of State, that she appreciated the great value that the East London Line phase two would bring? It would complete the overground by linking the system up with Clapham Junction and also, of course, it would deliver considerable value to this government in rail projects. Because it would be complete so much earlier it would take the strain off Thameslink when all the heavy works begin particularly relating to Blackfriars Bridge.

I have not read the whole of the Forensic Audit Report so I am not sure if that particular saga is in here. It is worthy of another volume. Can you assure us that you will consider anything that Mr Johnson and Ms Jones suggest to you a little more carefully than your predecessor did and thereby save Londoners money in such ridiculous circumstances?

Mr Mayor, can you assure us that the economic and development benefits which might come to the northern part of the London Borough of Bexley from a potential river crossing will be balanced against the concerns about increased traffic and increased pollution from other people within that borough?

I would like to ask the Assembly to make a heartfelt condolence towards Robert Knox's family for the gruesome murder of himself and five of his mates from an outsider from the community who walked in there with intent to create harm. I have here in front of me the Metropolitan Police Service's latest figures of persons accused of possessing offensive weapons April/May 2007/08...

With respect, we will only establish if they are a first class team when they have had an opportunity to demonstrate that. I appreciate you have appointed them and that is the way you want to do it.
