Despite his promises back in May 2022, London’s Mayor has failed to publish a single piece of evidence from his celebrated London Drugs Commission. [1] As the third anniversary of his announcement approaches, Zoë Garbett AM released the following statement, urging the Mayor to deliver more than empty words to the city:

“Despite the billions government has spent on drug enforcement, deaths are still rising, drugs are still readily available, and the supply is more toxic and likely to get worse. The Mayor promised Londoners he would launch a drugs commission and investigate better strategies to regulate drugs, yet nearly three years later he still hasn’t delivered. I will continue to speak out, whether from City Hall or across Europe, until we have a real conversation about better ways to police drugs.” [2]
