The London Assembly Planning and Regeneration Committee has written to the Mayor of London regarding the potential benefits of upwards extensions to tackle London's housing crisis.
The Committee is calling on the GLA to develop a pattern book/code for upwards extensions which boroughs could either fully accept, adapt or create their own bespoke version, which should take place within a 12-month period. Designs should be subject to good local consultation and support.
