Health Committee Letters on Breast Cancer Screening

The London Assembly Health Committee has written two letters in regards to breast cancer screening in London.

One letter is to both Professor Kevin Fenton CBE, the Regional Director for Public Health, NHS London and Will Huxter, the Regional Director of Specialised Commissioning for London, NHS. This letter outlines proposals to improve the comparably low of uptake of breast cancer screenings in London.

Another letter is addressed to the London Directors of Public Health after the London Assembly Health Committee discussed mobile breast cancer screening units with expert guests at a recent meeting, and heard that those operating mobile units face operational challenges.
