Submissions received on the proposed Thames Estuary airport

The Assembly's Environment Committee had agreed to hold a public discussion with Doug Oakervee, the author of a feasibility study for the Mayor on proposals for an airport in the Thames Estuary.

As background to this discussion, the committee invited written views and information from expert groups and local stakeholders: the RSPB, Medway Council, Kent County Council, and the Port of London Authority. Although Mr Oakervee cancelled his appearance at the committee's meeting and was unable to offer an alternative date, the committee has published the submissions it had received on the subject.
