Response to Department of Health's consultation paper

Responding to the government's proposals for the reform of the National Health Service, the Assembly highlights concerns around the difficulties of establishing new commissioning consortia in London.

This letter calls for the need to clarify the strategic role of the Mayor in health, particularly in relation to public health and emergency planning. It also proposes steps to make the London Ambulance Service more accountable to the Mayor.
