The London Assembly Planning and Regeneration Committee has written to the Mayor to set out some concerns that the London-wide policy framework on tall buildings still contains significant gaps. The recommendations are intended to help improve guidance which will in turn safeguard London’s skyline.
The Committee said:
The Mayor should develop further guidance in the form of separate Supplementary Planning Guidance for residential tall buildings, which should include consideration of dwelling typologies, size mix, space standards, tenure mix, indoor and outdoor amenity space, as well as the environmental impacts.
