Our report welcomes the measures put in place by the Mayor to protect and promote London‘s street markets, but calls for more short-term support for markets that are facing challenges. The report notes the economic contribution made by many street markets but found little help from the Mayor for market traders during the current downturn. This update follows up on the Committee's report, London's Street Markets, published in 2008.
