Letter to Sport England about playing fields

Our Health and Environment Committee has written to Sport England in response to Information released to the Committee about playing fields.

The Committee requests more information about figures previously provided on playing fields in London. The letter also asks about the use of current data on playing field numbers as the basis for tracking future trends, and about tracking of individual sites that have not been in use for some time.

In addition, the Committee asks Sport England's view on possible trends from 2010 to 2012 and seeks clarification on the respective roles of Sport England and other bodies.
