As lockdown is eased, the Transport Committee has written to the Rail Delivery Group with insights and questions around the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on London’s transport network and passenger and transport worker safety and demand.
In the letter the Transport Committee has called for the Department for Transport to consider incorporating the Southeastern High Speed route operating from St. Pancras International and Stratford International within the Travelcard zone system.
This could help reduce pressure on the Central and Jubilee Lines while social distancing measures are in place and would give commuters another public transport option that is quick and affordable.
