In January, the Mayor launched a new, green energy company, exclusive to Londoners, called London Power. The company is a partnership between the Mayor and Octopus Energy.
London Power is advertised as offering all Londoners:
- fair and competitive pricing, always
- automatic rollover on to London Power’s cheapest comparable plan after fixed term plans end
- electricity generated from 100 per cent renewable sources
- hassle-free experience with simple energy plans, quick online switching, and world-class customer service.
Tomorrow, the London Assembly Audit Panel will undertake a detailed review of London Power due to concerns around its status, particularly against the backdrop of the current energy market. The Panel will also discuss a report on the Mayor’s Solar Together Scheme.
The guests are:
- Chetan Lad, Head of London Power
- Catherine Barber, Assistant Director for Environment, Greater London Authority (GLA)
- David Gallie, Executive Director for Resources, GLA
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 15 December 2022 from 2pm, in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.
